Seasonal Celebration Benefit concert
We invite you to join us on December 21 at the WCR Center for the Arts. Step away from the holiday rush and enjoy an afternoon with family and friends. The Tempered Brass Quintet will share a festive program that captures the season’s exuberant joy and heartfelt gratitude. Sample a delicious array of butlered hors d’oeuvres, small-plate stations and wine. Finish off the afternoon with indulgent desserts (courtesy of our talented board members!) and coffee.
Following the brass concert, we’ll highlight our newly launched Chamber Music With Friends — a one-day program for high school students. Students spend the day rehearsing in chamber ensembles coached by professional musicians, who also present an informal lecture–recital. With one musician per part and no conductor, participants build essential skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and self-advocacy. The day culminates in a wonderful final performance. Just like our season concerts at the WCR, this program is free and open to any interested student. As a special treat, we’ll also enjoy a brief performance by a high school chamber ensemble.
All proceeds support the Friends of Chamber Music.
